Hi Everyone,
1st time poster.
We have a 10kW chiller cooling water used to cool two 7.5kW vacuum pumps.
The issue I`m having is that we continuously need to top the system up with water to increase the pressure to the operating pressure. This is a daily task, sometimes 3 to 4 times a day.
It happens when the machine is sitting idle overnight or sitting idle even for 30mins.
After sitting idle I have let the system run to see if the pressure increased itself but it does not, so I need to top up the system with water (potable).
I have easily put 4 to 5 litres in the system by now, on top of what was already in it.
I`ve checked everywhere for leaks with no luck, all pipes are lagged.
We have no expansion tank/vessel on the system.
Any ideas what could be the issue here?
It is a rental chiller so it has probably been banged up a bit in its time.
