I have a very new Carrier Infinity 19VS Central Air Conditioner that makes some annoying noises at different stages. At stage 5 it's a very loud vibration noise in the room closest to the condenser unit. At stage 4 (and 3 to a lesser extent) there is a loud whistling noise that seems to come from the vents themselves. In all cases the condenser unit itself seems to be operating at an expected noise level, so I think the noises are more due to vibrations inside the house.
My questions are:
1) Is it possible to have the Infinity System Control safely run the A/C at a specific stage that a technician could use to troubleshoot an issue? I know there is a secret technician menu, and therein is an option called Checkout that seems to allow someone to run the A/C at a specific stage for a specific number of minutes. Out of an abundance of caution, I'm not comfortable trying it out myself.
2) Is this a common issue, where vibration from the condenser unit can cause related noises elsewhere in the house (like resonance, maybe)?
