I’m new to the forum and this is my first post so bear with me. I’m also newer to the trade and have been working as an apprentice for four years. I’ve recently been working on a carrier 30xaa50064-05xqc s:1807Q91394. I’ve found what seem to be typical issues with this machine such as having leaks on all of the discharge control valves. This chiller is also new to me and my employer and has been neglected for what seems like years. In doing different testing I did not find any way to test the condenser fan vfds using the touch pilot interface. I instead used a signal generator on Chanel 9 of the mbb and gave the vfd a 10vdc signal which caused the drive to ramp up to 60hz. Is this how you guys test the vfd or am I simply overlooking it on the touch pilot(extremely possible as I find the navigation on the touch pilot challenging)? Any feedback and or suggestions would be appreciated.
