Ventless p-trap on storm drain that does not need trap? | Terry Love Plumbing Advice & Remodel DIY & Professional Forum

I have an odd situation. The plumber appears to have made a mistake on this project. A storm drain on a patio above a cellar is backpitched. It passes through an engineer approved drill out in a structural steel ibeam. The drain is backpitched in the section between the drain and the steel cut out. It's 4 inch no hub CI. The drain cannot be raised, it is set in cement and roofed over, and the cutout cannot be moved either.

My first idea is to change the section to 3 inch pipe and see if...
