I have a Kohler toilet. Sometimes it won't flush completely, on the second or third flush it will flush completely, but lets out a big belch. Only the bathroom is on this drain into septic tank. The plumbing was done about 20 years ago and uses an air admittance valve. I tried a new valve, same. I took the valve out and it flushes normal.
I ran a snake into the bathroom sink drain, which goes into the toilet drain to a length where I know it got as far as the septic tank, didn't hit any...
