Noticed that water from the indirect water heater is scalding. Turned down thermostat and it still overheats way past the set temp. I can feel the heat back-feeding by touching the circulator return line, its hot even when the zone valve is off and not circulating. Double checked the manual for the Boiler Mate and confirmed a check valve should be installed on the return. No check valve was installed...
