I currently have a 5-hp pump (3-phase), set at approximately 525 feet, with static water level at 230 feet, two 110 gal bladder pressure tanks, new pressure switch and power box. The new 5-hp pump replaced a 3-hp pump which was not keeping up with watering loads of plants/palms/citrus (all on timers). The first new 5-hp pump started shutting down three weeks after install. The Well guy replaced that pump and the second 5-hp pump started shutting down two days after it was installed....
