I recently discovered some slight water damage in my attic. At first I thought it was from a roof leak, but then I discovered that it was caused by a hole in a pvc vent pipe that is buried under some loose-fill insulation.
Is this something that a shady contractor would do to make up for inadequate air flow in the stack vent?
I just don’t understand how a hole like that occurs in pvc if it wasn’t on purpose.
How does something like this happen? Does anyone have any recommendations on...
An extra hole in a vent pipe?!?
