A year ago I had my polybutylene pipe into the house replaced through the basement slab. In doing so my plumber updated everything to code... new Apollo check valve, Caleffi PRV model 535H, and shut off ball valves before and after these. All valves are facing the proper direction. Fast forward to October, I start hearing a noise like a motor running or humming when a toilet on the 1st or 2nd floor is flushed and is refilling. The sound is in the area where all those valves are mentioned...
