Hello everyone! Long time stalker first time poster!
Recently installed a Rheem tankless system to replace a 14 year old water tank. Used PEX connections to tie into the house.
A friend told me about a potential issue along code “604.11.2 Water Heater Connections” - “PEX shall not be installed within the first 18 inches (457 mm) of piping connected to a water heater.”
My quick research online was not successful and could not determine if this applied to tankless systems or not.
