I sent 230V into a 115V pump...... | Terry Love Plumbing Advice & Remodel DIY & Professional Forum

Hi guys as the title says I bought a 115v pump instead of a 230v one and something fried in there. It first started up and ran fine for a few minutes then nothing. When the well is open I can hear an electrical noise when I try to turn it on. Bought a second one and its now installed. The dead pump is a red lion 1/2 hp 2 wire pump. Is it usually scrap when you send the wrong voltage in or is there a particular electrical component that fries and I can simply replace that? Id like to keep it...
